The book conservation studio has been in charge of organising summer workshops since 2006, which focus on topics related to the conservation and research of historic bookbindings.

Following the success of the workshops on conservation and historic bookbinding organized with the support of the conservation studio of the monastery over the last five years, we are pleased to announce the workshops for 2011.

Workshop 2010

Two workshops were organized in September 2010: "Making Byzantine Endbands" by Dr George Boudalis and "Byzantine-style Illuminations on Parchment" by Evangelos Zournatzis

Workshop 2009
Four seminars on conservation and historic bookbinding were organised in September 2009 by the conservation studio of the monastery: Coptic bookbinding, Traditional gold tooling , Introduction to Byzantine bookbinding and Conservation and repair of parchment.
